Well earned glory for team zero. I think the difference tonight was "teamplay". IMO dm2 is easier to have some sort of tp even if you play mix. Dm3 and e1m2 are more complex in that way, so i would say that is why zero won tonight...much much better sync on the attacks in the vital moments of those maps from team zero. Dm2 with 5 strong armors and miltons quad runs...well....gg :)

Some dude said to me 5-6 years ago: "the skill level in qw nowdays is so high you dont need tp...all you need is skill".

Tonight we saw that statement was flawed. It was the well coordinated teamplay of team zero that won it tonight. Here is the perfect example...and the most important one....on 5th map decider, dm3:

Zeros got the better start and had the lead. Then after 7-8 mins finally Miltons got to stack up some frags and get some sort of control: They now had 3 RLs and Milton had SNG, and they controlled the armors. They were equalizing Zeros lead and they even got penta #3! I was thinking:Now they got their chance!

But suddenly team Zero vanished...pent-RL could not find them. In addition, Milton forgot the quad (pent-quad). And the pent-rl got owned by the quad at RA when pent was over. Its what you would call a bad pent-run.

So for the next quad....Miltons are still pretty well stacked....but who is at quad? All 4 players from team zero are at ring and quad...gets quad...and from there it was gg.

This just sums it up for me. It was a great final to watch, nice action, but i must say, after 16 years of QW, should we not expect some better teamplay from our "best" TDM players? :)

I thought it was an amazing finals, very fitting end to the season. While none of the maps were that tight in the end, each map was very intense. I felt the first DM3 and first half of the first DM2 in particular stood out because you could tell Milton was struggling. Then he started to turn his game around on DM2 and got back to his form. The non-captain players on each team really stepped up. Often Moje, Lakso or OK98 supported Milton well and managed to make some big plays themselves. Same thing for Zero's team with everyone making a big effort. Every time LethalWiz, Springs, gor or Creature managed to frag Milton people went nuts on QTV. GGs!

Great games. Very well performed TP on first dm3 left Milton's team without a chance.

The decider: the turning point was when Moje was running the Quad and didnt secure Ya whcih resulted in showing up two stacked enemies for the next Quad.... The rest is history

If you don't get the flow in the teamplay early it's very hard to come back. I think the dm2's is a nice example of that, it looks more like extreme brute force by Milton rather than teamplay that won those maps.

Team zero seemed to have a really great teamplay, and that won them the game.

Ye both of the dm2's were 99% milton going berzerk and doing basically everything by himself while rest of his team bored into walls or got killed in path with quad, especially moje who did basically nothing good in neither round. The remaining 1% is the team supporting him to get armors, weapons or quads.

As fun an entertaining it is every time to watch milton play, it was also fun to watch zero's awesome performance in these maps. After all it is a pretty rare event when/if someone can beat him like this.

Congrats to Zero's team! =)
