Nitram's Rams vs Milton's Militia.
Nitram and Milton arguably the two best active 4on4 players we have today in quakeworld going toe to toe in this epic matchup to tie up the first season of the Salvation draft.

I see there being 2 keys to who the winner of this game will be.
1. Who can shut down the other teams captain?
Both Nitram and Milton are extremely strong players and both teams tactics will focus alot on keeping the other under pinpoint surveillance, hunting down and preventing from getting weapons.
The team most successful on shutting down Milton/Nitram will be one step closer to the trophy.

2. "The other 3"
Who in the lineup besides Nitram and Milton will step up for their respective team will be another key factor to this game and especially the matchup between phrenic and diki will be deciding.

I think for Nitram's Rams to have a chance of winning then phrenic has to outperform Diki and Skillah and be the 3rd best player on the field, if not this might be a short series.

Milton is to be considered slightly better than Nitram and I also give the supporting 3 of Milton's Militia the edge but Diki is still inconsistent with his activity, which means his performance can be inconsistent aswell.

If phrenic steps up, then I expect a 5-mapper but if Skillah and Diki keep up their good play as I think they will I predict a 3-1 win for Milton's Militia.

It all died out when the writers' teams got knocked out, thus making it much less interesting to create hype.

Their focus now probably lies in EQL hype and coverage, since _some_ are big favorites to win that...

It sure was an epic final! DM3 start was very tough and we didn't get back in the game before it was already way too late. DM2 start was more even - Martin getting low rl + q and Diki stealing high rl. I think Diki ended up turning this map for us in the end? The first E1M2 was the most boring map of the series (no surprise there) - It was pretty clear that we wouldn't win in 10-12 minutes to the round.

The start of the second DM2 was just as tight as expected. Unfortunately TED started timing out after five minutes and dropped only two minutes later. I checked the demo and noticed that his connection came back to life for a while during the timeout and it only prolonged the actual drop. It's impossible to say what would have happened without the timeout, but at least xero was there to replace TED.

Before the last map I didn't have too high hopes to win it, but I guess every player in our team just played better than in the first one. In the end we fragged to a comfortable victory. The pack fest under ya was ridiculous and well worth watching imo: I left rl pack there three times, getting the pack every time (without even spawning _that_ close) and after the last pack I even got away with the rocket :L.

Yeah games were good and tight as we all had hoped for. Shame our good flow was broken completely with TEDs timeout, but shit happens. I guess we were still somewhat pleased about our performance putting up a good fight and surprising everyone by playing very solid in all our playoff games. GGs and thanks for this season, and thanks to my team for putting up strong performances.

First of all, thanks about the league. It was best qw for years, even it's mix team I really felt like being in a clan again. I have been playing with Milton long time but thanks Purity, Skillah and Moje... you are the best!

Both teams had a rusty start in league but in this tournament it's all about getting your TP and tactics together for playoffs and final.

As in predictions was mentioned.. my performance could be inconsistent. And this time I really sucked :P I was able to secure first dm2 victory with some nice/ok quadruns in the end but nothing else. Lucky me, rest of the team were good enough and ted timed out. Ofc that's something you don't want to be happen...

Still realy fustrated that I played so bad. Nothing worked ;) .. Thanks to nitram for picking such a good team! Never played with a player that whines more @ TS (nitram, in a good way :) ).
